As the day passes and seasons wax and wane the interior changes ever so subtly because of varying natural light even as the rest of the home remains distinctly minimal and stoic. Sporadically used arm wooden surfaces gently interrupt this concrete monotony while blue accents make a rare appearance in the bedroom.
This part of the project was designed keeping in mind the needs of one of the clients who is an artist and an art collector. This clever placement of individual units creates a central courtyard which brings the outdoors inside.
It is the top floor that holds the adult bedrooms which sit on the edge while kids’ bedrooms and bunk rooms occupy the space in the middle. These bunk rooms can also be used as additional adult bedrooms whenever needed giving the home an adaptable sheen. Concrete and hardwood timber shape this relaxing and ingenious Aussie home where green is in!
The layered approach to decorating can be found here as well with yellow purple blue and shades of pastel pink making an appearance throughout the residence. Relaxing modern and yet gracefully timeless this Seattle home has it all!
