Giving an old home in a cheerful light-infused and modern revamp Heidi Caillier Design altered the ambiance and the style of this charming Seattle home. As with most modern homes the backdrop is kept strictly neutral with white painting a picture of refinement and serenity.
The path to this door is long and winding and takes you through a lush green landscape that fills one with a sense of joy and tranquility. On the inside though the natural landscape yields to polished contemporary surfaces that are largely draped in white.
This also further ushered in natural light and spaces of the original Victorian Residence that were previously dark now feel cheerful and inviting. The refurbished interior feels both contemporary and classic with the old gently transitioning into the new!
Pinewood is often associated with uninspired run-of-the-mill furniture and interiors. Yet this versatile timber has many modern applications. Long-lasting and sustainable there is a certain honest and homey quality about ; still it offers so much more. The interiors featured below reflect a clean contemporary expression of pinewood’s use in residential spaces. Aesthetic and striking they showcase its capacity for good design.
The lush green forest around the residence is left largely untouched and a sensitive approach to building the house ensured that damage of construction was as minimal as possible.
