The design of this exquisite holiday home moves away from unnecessary excesses and relies on simplicity of form frugality of material and durability crafted to withstand harsh local weather. At its heart this is simply a large protected veranda that is surrounded by a rainforest!
Décor choices lighting fixtures and the overall ambiance of this Raleigh Residence complement the classy and urbane setting that was visualized by the architects. Filled with plenty of natural light this two-story home promises to offer the best of two contrasting worlds.
As the day passes and seasons wax and wane the interior changes ever so subtly because of varying natural light even as the rest of the home remains distinctly minimal and stoic. Sporadically used arm wooden surfaces gently interrupt this concrete monotony while blue accents make a rare appearance in the bedroom.
The most striking feature of the house is the wonderful use of various bright colors which add another layer of intrigue to the overall setting. A bright blue couch live-edge coffee table and pops of light pink welcome you in the living room.
This part of the project was designed keeping in mind the needs of one of the clients who is an artist and an art collector. This clever placement of individual units creates a central courtyard which brings the outdoors inside.
